Welcome to EAP Handyman services

My name is Steve,

I have spent most of my working life in senior corporate roles heading up marketing activity within large well know companies, however I decided a few years ago that this life was no longer for me.

I have always been a hands on person and have taken on renovation projects for several properties I have owned, including my current one. I have installed kitchens, bathrooms and shower rooms, plus I have enhanced rooms throughout properties with plastering and decorative finishes.

No matter what I have done through my life I have always taken pride in the quality of the work I complete. I was always taught “if a jobs worth doing, its worth doing well” and I have taken this to heart ever since.

“That will do” or “that’s an ok finish” has never been something that I have settled for, so over the last 20+ years I have sough training and experience across many skill areas:

The images used are all actual examples of my own work.

Carpentry/Joinery: I have over 20 years of experience of taking on all types of projects, from completing carpentry work building stud walls and erecting fencing etc. through to intricate joinery work where I have made and repaired tables, chests of drawers, cabinets, chairs and even beds.

Plaster boarding & plastering: I have previously worked for a plasterboard manufacturer, I went through extensive training on when and where to use the products and their installation on walls and ceilings. I developed the companies external “how to” videos which are still available on Youtube and have had over 8 million views. I then added to my skill in this area by taking a plastering course ensuring I can repair, replace or enhance any room through multiple methods.

Electrical: I am currently a level 2 qualified electrician and studying at the SGS college in Bristol to complete level 3 towards becoming fully qualified. I am currently able to provide electrical services that fall within the “competent person” regulations. This allows me do many of the normal jobs required in a residential property safely and proficiently, I can advise on those jobs that would require a fully qualified electrician to certify completed works.

Plumbing: I have experience and am proficient of all types of internal plumbing in bathrooms, shower rooms, and kitchens etc. both from a supply and waste water perspective. I also have experience replacing radiators like for like and to change for a more decorative option. I am not Gas Safe registered and due to this I am not able to take on any work relating to gas.

Tiling: I have tiled both walls and floors to a very high standard, I utilise tile levelling tools to ensure a perfectly uniform and level finish. I always use a separate adhesive and grout, some people don’t do this because of cost, but I believe it gives both the best finish and provides more decorative options. I can also remove and replace broken tiles if you have replacements available and remove and replace existing grouting.

Painting and decorating: From single rooms to entire properties I have completed paining projects to an extremely high standard. The quality of the finish is in the details, the use of quality materials and the creation of sharp lines and edges are always a focus of mine on any painting project.
